Dayton heads to Cincinnati for the 2007 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship to face La Salle on Friday. The ninth-seeded Flyers and eighth-seeded Explorers will begin a quadrupleheader of action at Cintas Center at Noon ET in Friday's Opening Round. Fans can follow the action with Live Audio and Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.

UD has had an up-and-down season that has seen 15 of its 29 games decided by single digits including four one-point games. One of the most dramatic wins of the season for the Flyers was a 59-57 come-from-behind victory over the Explorers on Feb. 8 at UD Arena. Dayton overcame a 32-26 halftime deficit behind 13 second-half points from Karah Cloxton and held off a late three-point barrage by La Salle to secure victory.

The Flyers will be looking to win a First Round game at the A-10 Championships for the second straight season. Last year, Dayton broke a five-year drought in the Atlantic 10 postseason with a 71-63 victory over Rhode Island in the A-10 Opening Round on March 3. Jennifer Strong scored 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field for UD against the Rams.

Dayton has seen a surge in the play of senior Jennifer Strong and junior Nikki Oakland over the past four games. Despite a struggle from the outside, Strong has averaged 15.8 ppg over the last four contests including 18 points each against Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's. Oakland has tallied 10.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg and 1.5 bpg during the same span including an 11-point, 10 rebound night at Rhode Island and a 13-point, nine-rebound day at Richmond on Sunday.

The winner of Friday's opening game will face six-time A-10 Regular Season Champion George Washington on Saturday in the A-10 Quarterfinals. The game against the #8/9 Colonials would tipoff at Noon ET and can also be followed with Live Audio and Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.
