PROGRESS CONTINUES FOR UD ROWING AT THE SPEAKMON REGATTA

In the women’s collegiate 8+, the Dayton A won their heat and completed the racecourse in a time of 17:55.3.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Progress continued for the Dayton Flyers women’s rowing team after battling tough conditions at the 28th Jack Speakmon Regatta.

"The conditions were very windy," head coach Michael Wenker said. "The team had a good weekend and continues to make progress."

In the women’s collegiate 8+, the Dayton A (Allison Santho, Sadie Wonders, Katherine Bruening, Molly Chipman, Katelyn Reynolds, Martha Sitkiewicz, Ali Girten, Jordan Vellky and Sierra Schmidt) won their heat and completed the racecourse in a time of 17:55.3.

Dayton B (Marcy Prendergast, McKay Rehwinkel, Ali Van Loon, Laura Profumo, Lauren Bielak, Beth Eckstein, Susie Klimowicz, Olivia Ullery and Kori Reinke) came in second and clocked in at 19:05.8.

In the women’s collegiate varsity 4, Dayton A (Katie Hocin, Wonders, Bruening, Chipman and Reynolds) came in second with a time of 18:57.2.

The Dayton C was next up by placing in third (Nicole Baeder, Michelle Baeder, Schmidt, Rehwinkel and Haley Murrell) finished with a time of 19:49.6. Dayton B (Santho, Vellky, Girten, Sitkiewicz and Erin Quinn) was next and placed in fourth with a time of 19:58.9.

Dayton D rounded out the group (Prendergast, Ullery, Van Loon, Profumo and Marissa Dunyak) with a time of 20:55.2.

Next up for the Flyers is a dual meet with Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 12.
