Muncie, IN - Dayton opened play this weekend with a 7-0 loss in Muncie, IN against Ball State Saturday morning. The loss marked the second time in the young spring season that the Flyers failed to take a match. The team's record now sits at 1-2.
Freshman Andrea Muresan got off to a strong start in her match at #6 singles against Emma Retter. Muresan took the first set 6-2 before Retter took control, winning sets two and three by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.
No other Flyer was able to record more than three games in a set. Dayton is now 0-9 in doubles matches this spring after dropping all three against BSU.
The Flyers are back in action on Sunday at 5:00 PM against IPFW in Fort Wayne, IN.
