The 2007 Atlantic 10 Champion Flyer volleyball team closes out its regular season this weekend at the A-10/MAC Challenge in Oxford, Ohio. #15 Dayton will face Western Michigan at 5 p.m. ET on Friday and host Miami (Ohio) on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. Both matches can be followed with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.

UD enters the weekend with the best record in the nation (30-1) and its first 30-win season in modern history. The Flyers will also make their fourth ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament next weekend following their fourth A-10 Tournament Title in the last five years. Dayton will learn the opponent and site for its NCAA First Round match on Sunday during the NCAA Selection Show on ESPNU at 8 p.m. ET.

One possible opponent for the Flyers in the NCAA First Round is host Miami (Ohio) which enters the weekend following its first MAC Tournament Title since 1998. The RedHawks (19-9) beat nationally-ranked Ohio twice this season including a 3-0 sweep in the MAC Finals last weekend.

Dayton will also take on 2007 MAC West Division Champion Western Michigan this weekend. The Broncos (21-10) advanced to the Quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament before falling to Eastern Michigan.

Two Flyer seniors will look to make their mark on a national stage this weekend. Libero <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/mtt/green_adrienne00.html" >Adrienne Green</a> needs just seven digs to move into the Top 25 all-time in NCAA career history. She also needs only 13 digs to reach the 2,000 dig plateau. Green already ranks among the Top 20 players all-time in with 4.39 career digs per game.

In addition, 2007 Atlantic 10 Tournament Most Outstanding Player <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/mtt/richards_jamielee00.html" >Jamie-Lee Richards</a> enters the weekend with 61 service aces, which ranks 21st nationally. She needs just four more service aces to move into the Top 25 all-time in the category. |
