PHILADELPHIA - University of Dayton All-American middle blocker Lindsay Fletemier was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week by the Atlantic 10 after being named to the Michigan/adidas All-Tournament team.
Fletemier hit .398 over the weekend, averaging 3.92 kills per set. She tied her season-best kill total of 20 in a five-set loss to Marquette on Saturday. The 6-foot-6 middle blocker tied Kacie Hausfeld with a weekend-high four service aces.
Although she didn't capture Defensive Player of the Week honors, Fletemier leads the Atlantic 10 averaging 1.30 blocks per set. She is the only Atlantic 10 player that is averaging 1.00 blocks per set or better.
The Flyers return to the friendly confines of the Frericks Center on Sept. 25 to host arch-rival Xavier in their first Atlantic 10 match of the season.
