DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton Volleyball will take the court for the first time this fall for the annual Red & Blue Match held at the Frericks Center this Saturday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m.
The inter-squad exhibition match gives a chance for the No. 21 Flyers to compete in a match atmosphere before the season begins next Friday against Pittsburgh in the Dayton Flyer Classic at the Frericks Center.
Before the match on Saturday the Flyers will host a
free volleyball clinic for kids beginning at noon in the Frericks Center. Registration is not required.
On Tuesday Dayton debuted at No. 21 in the AVCA Preseason Poll. The Flyers return five players from last season’s Atlantic 10 Championship squad, including two-time AVCA All-America selection Lindsey Fletemier, First Team All-Conference selection Becky Novacek, and 2009 A-10 Tournament MVP Amanda Cowdrey.
Admission to Saturday's match is free of charge.
