DAVIDSON, N.C. - The University of Dayton women's basketball team claimed a 67-51 decision at Davidson Wednesday afternoon at the Wildcats' Belk Arena. With the win, UD improves to 10-4 overall and an even 1-1 in Atlantic 10 play while DC falls to 4-11 on the season and 0-2 in league action. Senior
Ally Malott led all scorers with 20 points while also grabbing six rebounds.

Andrea Hoover chipped in 15 points while dishing out three assists and junior
Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova corralled a team-high eight rebounds.
Dayton out-rebounded Davidson, 41-31, and the Flyers shot 45.2 percent from the floor to the Wildcats' 40.7 percent. UD held the lead for 37:29 of the 40 minutes of regulation.
The Flyers jumped out to a 9-2 run to open the game but the Wild acts rallied to take a 14-13 advantage after a three-point basket from Hannah Early. Junior
Kelley Austria laid in the ball to put UD up, 17-16, with just over eight minutes left in the first half and the Flyers never looked back. Dayton held a 35-23 advantage at the half.
During the second 20, Dayton led by as many as 23 points, 56-33, and Davidson would get no closer than to within 15. The Flyers held on to pick up the 16-point, 67-51 win.
The Wildcats were led by Early with 15 points and Mackenzie Latt with 12 points and eight rebounds.
UD returns to action on Sunday as it plays host to the Duquesne Dukes. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at UD Arena.
