The University of Dayton women’s basketball team announced the hiring of Will Alton as the new Assistant Recruiting Coordinator and Video Coordinator.
“I am very excited to add Will to our family,” said head coach Shauna Green. “He brings with him a wealth of experience with being a video coordinator at a high level and also a Division I assistant coach. He will add a great deal of knowledge in a variety of areas that will benefit our program. He is a tireless worker and we are excited to have him at Dayton.”
Alton comes to Dayton after serving as an assistant coach at the UMass Lowell. There he helped with video and recruiting as well as on-the-court training. He also has previous experience at Kentucky as the video coordinator, with the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA, and his alma mater, Penn State-Abington.
“I am grateful to be here at the University of Dayton and honored to work for Coach Green,” said Alton. “The culture and values that the women's basketball program have developed resonates with me. I am eager and excited to contribute to the winning culture here at UD.”
Earning a bachelor of arts degree in corporate communication, Alton graduated from Penn State-Abington in 2012 after being a three-year starter on the men’s basketball team.
