OXFORD, Miss.
– The Dayton Flyers opened non-conference play with a game-winning three and ended it with another magical shot.

Devin Oliver's three-pointer with 0.3 seconds left in overtime lifted the Flyers to an improbable 83-80 victory over the Ole Miss Rebels.

After starting the season with Jordan Sibert hitting a game-winning three against IPFW, Oliver brought that same clutch play on the road.

Oliver scored 22 of his career-high 26 points in the second half and overtime. He shot 11-of-14 from the field and also added seven rebounds and five assists.

Five Flyers ended up scoring in double figures. Scoochie Smith scored a season-high 11 points and Dyshawn Pierre added 11 points and seven rebounds. Matt Kavanaugh and Vee Sanford each scored 10.

Dayton ended up with more made three-pointers (11) than free throws (10). The Flyers also controlled the glass out-rebounding Ole Miss 41-37, with 19 UD rebounds on the offensive end.

The Flyers closed non-conference play 12-3 overall with wins against Gonzaga, Cal, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss.

Dayton begins Atlantic 10 Conference play on Saturday, Jan. 11 hosting the Saint Louis Billikens. Tip is at 11 a.m. ET and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
