Live Audio/Stats LinksDAYTON, Ohio - Rounding out its four-game, season-opening road swing, the University of Dayton women's basketball team will be participating in the 2014 Iowa Hawkeye Challenge Nov. 21-22. Dayton will square off against UT Martin Friday in the first of two games this weekend. Tip-off between the Flyers and Skyhawks is set for 6 p.m. ET at Iowa's Carver Hawkeye Arena. About the FlyersDayton opened the 2014-15 season with a two-game road trip to the west coast. The flyers dropped a 76-60 decision to the Washington State Cougars last Friday and then fell to the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Sunday. Senior
Andrea Hoover leads the Flyers with 19.0 ppg. and 9.5 rpg. while junior Kelly Austria is averaging 3.0 spg. and is a perfect 7-for-7 from the line over the team's first two games
Scouting UT MartinUT Martin (1-2) will have played three games by the time the Skyhawks square off against the Flyers. Martin dropped its first two games over last weekend, including a 77-43 loss at Louisville on Nov. 16, but picked up its first win of the season Wednesday at home, 62-61 over Cincinnati at home. The Skyhawks are led by Ashia Jones with 17.0 ppg. and 9.0 rpg. Jessy Ward also averages double-figures scoring with 13.7 ppg.
Last Time OutIn its second game in three days out west, Dayton fell at Gonzaga, 75-65, despite leading by 10 points at halftime. Senior
Andrea Hoover led all scorers with 20 points to go with eight rebounds and four assists. Junior
Kelley Austria chipped in 16 points and swatted six steals for the Flyers as well.
Flyer Facts» Undefeated at home the past two seasons, Dayton's 26-straight home victories is the second-longest active streak in the nation. The Flyers went 12-0 at home during 2013-14.

Jim Jabir is in his 12th season at the helm of the Dayton women's team in 2014-15. He was named the eighth head coach, and first male, in the history of the program on April 8, 2003. Jabir holds a career record of 431-357 over 28 seasons.

Series StuffFriday's game will be the third meeting between Dayton and UT Martin in the all-time series between the two programs. The Flyers and Skyhawks are tied with one win apiece. UD claimed the 76-62 win over UTM at home on Dec. 20, 2005 but Martin defeated Dayton, 53-52, in overtime on the Skyhawks' home court.
Atlantic 10 Preseason PollDayton was unanimously picked to win the 2014-15 Atlantic 10 Conference title. The Flyers earned all 14 first-place votes among picks from the conference's head coaches. Four Dayton players were also recognized on Preseason All-Conference Teams, including seniors

Ally Malott who were named to the First Team. Junior

Andrea Hoover reached the 1,000-point milestone in UD's 73-69 win over VCU on Feb. 5, 2014. She was the 21st Flyer to join the club and ninth to do so as a junior. Hoover currently has 1,276 career points and ranks 13th among the all-time leading scorers at Dayton. Fellow senior
Ally Malott needs just 18 more points to join the 1,000-point club at UD.
We'll Take the Free OnesAs a team, the Flyers shot 76.4 percent from the free throw line in 2013-14, the BEST team free throw percentage in Dayton history. The 76.4 percent ranked second in the Atlantic 10 and 14th nationally. Then-junior

20+ WinnersWith the team's 23-8 overall record in 2013-14, the Flyers posted their seventh-consecutive 20+ win season. Since Dayton began its women's basketball program in 1968-69, UD has recorded 24 season with 20 or more wins.
Three Points of ExcellenceDayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 412 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
Welcome to the TeamDayton signed three to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period: Lauren Cannatelli (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West), Madeleine Dennis (Perth, Western Australia/Mount Lawley) and Ashleigh Parkinson (Newark, Ohio/Newark Catholic). The trio will be joining the team in the fall of 2015.
New Face on the SidelineWith the departure of former Dayton assistant coach Adeniyi Amadou, the Flyers welcomed a new face to the sideline this season in assistant coach
Simon Harris. Harris joined the Dayton women's basketball staff in June of 2014 and is in his first season under head coach
Jim Jabir for 2014-15. He spent the previous three seasons as a graduate assistant for the Dayton men's team under head coach
Archie Miller.
Flyers in League PlayDayton has won 40 of its last 44 regular season Atlantic 10 games, a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, including posting a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season. Of its four losses over the previous three seasons, Dayton took two L's at home and two on the road.

Atlantic 10 FormatDespite its name, the Atlantic 10 conference consists of 14 member schools competing under one division in women's basketball. Each team will play a 16-game conference slate this coming season, including three home-and-away series. Dayton will play two games against George Washington, Richmond and Saint Louis and one against the remaining field during league action. The conference most recently welcomed Davidson, and this will be the first year the Flyers will square off against the Wildcats in program history.
Perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR)Dayton women's basketball has posted a perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for nine consecutive seasons, every year the rate has been published except for one. The Flyers are one of only eight programs to post a perfect score and reach the NCAA Tournament for the past five seasons: Dayton, DePaul, Duke, Iowa State, Notre Dame, St. John's, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Additionally, Dayton was the only school to have both its men's and women's basketball programs post perfect GSR scores and make appearances in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
Dayton in Season OpenersOver the past 46 seasons, Dayton has posted a 27-20 mark in season openers. Of those 46 games, the Flyers are 10-7 in season-opening games on the road, 6-2 in neutral-site season openers and 11-11 in openers at home. In 2014-15, Dayton opened the season at Washington State, taking the 76-60 loss.
