FLYERS FACE BOSTON COLLEGE IN PUERTO RICO TIP-OFF 3RD-PLACE GAME
• The University of Dayton Flyers will wrap up their trip to Puerto Rico with a matchup against Boston College on Sunday, Nov. 23 in the third-place game in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.  The game tips off at 4:30 ET.   
• The game will be televised by nationally by ESPN2, carried by WHIO Radio and is available with live video, stats and streaming audio at DaytonFlyers.com.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE
• Boston College is 2-2 after dropping a 70-66 decision in the PRTO semifinals despite 23 points from junior point guard Olivier Hanlan.  
• Hanlan, who averages 19.3 points a game, has been named to the watch lists for the John Wooden, Bob Cousy and Lute Olson Awards.
• The Eagles are an experienced team with five seniors and two graduate transfers on the roster.

SERIES STUFF
• Dayton won the only other game with Boston College, 87-71, on Nov. 16, 2012 in the Charleston Classic.

POWER PLAYERS
• The University of Dayton loves playing against the Power Five conferences. Dayton is 26-12 in the last seven years against programs from the Big 12, Big Ten, SEC, Pac 12 and ACC. In fact, the Flyers have won nine of the last 11 against SEC opponents.
• This year, Dayton is 1-0 after beating Texas A&M in the operning round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

BRACKET BUSTERS
• The University of Dayton has won three of the six early-season basketball tournaments it has played in since 2003.
• The Flyers won the 2011 Old Spice Classic after defeating Wake Forest, Fairfield and Minnesota. UD also won the 2003 EA Sports Maui Invitational and the 2008 Chicago Invitational Challenge.
• Last season in Maui, the Flyers took third place after defeating No. 10 Gonzaga and Cal.
• In four exempt tournaments, Archie Miller's teams are 8-3. Six of those wins are against Power Five conference programs.

THE 'D' BACK IN DAYTON
• Dating back to last season, Dayton has not allowed an opponent to score 70 or more points in seven of the last 11 games.
• The Flyers are 13-0 the past two years when limiting opponents to less than 60 points in a game.

POWERFUL PIERRE
Dyshawn Pierre is the only Flyer to have scored in double figures in every game this year. Pierre leads Dayton this season. averaging 14.3 points per game.
• Pierre is coming off a 13-point, 10 rebound effort against No. 17 UConn.
• Two years ago against BC, he had 23 points without missing a shot in his first career start.

• Dayton will return home to face the UIC Flames on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. ET.
