FLYERS BACK ON THE ROAD TO FACE GEORGE MASON
• The University of Dayton Flyers begin a two-game road trip against the George Mason Patriots on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by MASN and WHIO, carried by WHIO Radio and is available with live streaming video, audio and stats at DaytonFlyers.com.
ABOUT GEORGE MASON
• The George Mason Patriots (7-14 overall, 0-7 A-10) look to snap their eight-game losing streak and pick up the program's first A-10 win. Seven games into conference play, Jalen Jenkins is nearly averaging a double-double against league opponents (12.3 ppg/9.6 rpg). Byron Allen leads Mason in scoring (15.0 ppg) and assists (3.1 apg). The Patriots have lost eight straight games by a combined score of 43 points with two contests decided in overtime, including an 87-81 setback at 19th-ranked Saint Louis Saturday.
SERIES STUFF
• Dayton leads the all-time series 3-1 and have won the last three. This will be the first meeting with the two schools as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
OLIVER TWIST
• Dayton's
Devin Oliver is one of just five players in Division I who leads his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals. Oliver has scored in double figures in four straight games and five of his last six.
PRICELINE
• Point guard
Khari Price has enjoyed a nice sophomore season. He is among the Atlantic 10 leaders in three-point field goal percentage. He has also increased his scoring average from 2.8 to 7.7 points per game. When Price scores in double figures, the Flyers are 9-1 this season.
QUARTER PAST
• 15 is the magic number for the Dayton offense. When the Flyers have 15 or more assists, Dayton is 7-0.
THE CONFERENCE GRIND
• Only three Flyers (
Dyshawn Pierre,
Devin Oliver and
Matt Kavanaugh) have higher scoring averages in league play than non-conference action.
