SENIOR NIGHT FOR DAYTON AS FLYERS HOST RICHMOND
• The University of Dayton Flyers will honor the Class of 2014, and it's the annual Hall of Fame game, as UD hosts the Richmond Spiders on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
• The game will be televised by WHIO, carried by WHIO Radio and is available with live streaming video, audio and stats at DaytonFlyers.com.
ABOUT RICHMOND
• The Richmond Spiders (18-12 overall, 8-7 Atlantic 10) possess one of the top defenses in the league. Richmond is second in scoring defense (65.2 ppg) and third in field goal defense (.412). UR lost both seniors for the season when Cedrick Lindsay tore a meniscus in both knees and Derrick Williams left the team for personal reasons. Kendall Anthony (15.9 ppg) leads the Richmond offensive attack.
SERIES STUFF
• Dayton leads the all-time series 12-9. Richmond won the earlier meeting 73-64 at the Robins Center. The Flyers have won nine of the 10 meetings versus the Spiders at UD Arena.
CLASS OF 2014
• Before Saturday's game, UD will honor the senior class of
Devin Oliver,
Matt Kavanaugh,
Vee Sanford and
Brian Vonderhaar.
• This class has been a part of three NIT teams, nationally ranked, won the 2011 Old Spice Classic and the 2010 NIT championship.
RANKING RUPTURE
• Prior to Wednesday's victory at No. 17 Saint Louis, Dayton had never in its program's history defeated a ranked conference opponent on the road.
• UD was previously 0-for-15 against ranked teams on the road in the Midwest Collegiate, Great Midwest and Atlantic 10 Conferences.
• Dayton had also not defeated any ranked opponent on the road since upsetting Louisville on Dec. 8, 2007.
THE 'D' BACK IN DAYTON
• In eight of the last 10 games, Dayton has not allowed an opponent to score 70 or more points. During UD's six-game February winning streak, Dayton allowed 62.8 points per game.
• The Flyers are also 8-1 this season when limiting opponents to 60 points or less.
THE POWER OF THREE
• Dayton is 20-2 this year when three or more players score in double figures.
• When it is two players or less, the Flyers are 1-7.
• Overall, 11 different Flyers have scored in double figures in 2013-14.
STANDINGS SHUFFLE
• UD currently sits in sixth place in the Atlantic 10 standings.
• With a win, Dayton can earn either the 4th, 5th or 6th seed at the A-10 Men's Basketball Championship. The lowest seed UD can earn is No. 7.
