FLYERS & HAWKEYES MEET IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE ADVOCARE INVITE
The University of Dayton Flyers face the Iowa Hawkeyes in the first round of the AdvoCare Invitational on Thursday at 9 p.m.
The game will be carried by ESPN2 and is available with live streaming video, audio and stats at DaytonFlyers.com.

ABOUT IOWA
The Hawkeyes are unbeaten at 3-0 and showcase a prolific offense averaging 89.3 points per game.
Iowa is led by the trio of Jarrod Uthoff (16.3 ppg), Peter Jok (14.0 ppg) and Dom Uhl (11.3 ppg).
Speaking of offense, Iowa has had three players score 20 or more points in its first 3 games: Uthoff (21 vs Garner Webb), Brady Ellingson (20 vs Coppin St) and Jok (20 vs Marquette).

SERIES STUFF
Iowa leads the series 2-0.
The last time these programs met was in the 2012 NIT, where Dayton lost in Iowa City, 84-75.

IN-SEASON TOURNAMENT TIDBITS
Since 2003, UD has won three of the six early season basketball tournaments it has played in.
The Flyers won the 2011 Old Spice Classic after defeating Wake Forest, Fairfield and Minnesota.
UD won the 2003 EA Sports Maui Invitational.
In 2008, the Flyers defeated No. 15 Marquette in the finals of the Chicago Invitational Challnge.
Last season, the Flyers knocked off Texas A&M and Boston College to place in third at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
In four exempt tournaments, Archie Miller's teams are 9-3.

CONQUERING GOLIATH
In exempt tournaments under coach Archie Miller, Dayton is 7-2 against the power five conferences. Miller is 9-3 overall in exempts.
UD has been powerful against the power conferences. Dayton is 27-11 in the last nine years against the power five programs.
The Flyers are 1-0 in 2015-16 against power five schools after an 80-48 win over Alabama.
Dayton's 27 victories have come against Ole Miss (five times), Alabama and Georgia Tech (three times), Boston College and Auburn (all twice), Texas A&M, Stanford, Syracuse, Ohio State, California, North Carolina, Minnesota, Illinois, Louisville, West Virginia, Wake Forest and Pittsburgh.
The Flyers have won the last seven against the ACC and 11 of the last 14 versus the SEC.
The Flyers have won 11 of the last 14 games against BIG EAST opponents.
