DAYTON, Ohio - In the first of two roads games this week, the University of Dayton women's basketball team is set to travel to Fairfax, Virginia, for a Thursday-night tilt at George Mason. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Patriot Center. A free live audio stream will be available via the Atlantic 10 Network.

About the Flyers
Dayton (16-4, 7-1 A-10) is currently enjoying a seven-game winning streak after dropping its A-10 opener against George Washington. The Flyers have now won 15 of their last 16 games and are in second place in Atlantic 10 standings, behind only unbeaten GW (8-0). Senior Andrea Hoover is the team's top scoring threat with 19.4 ppg. (2nd A-10) and she is shooting .486 from long range (1st A-10) and .897 from the line (2nd A-10). Junior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova tallies 2.6 bpg. (1st A-10) and junior Kelley Austria records 1.7 spg., for the Flyers.

Scouting George Mason
George Mason (11-10, 3-5) has dropped four consecutive A-10 contests after opening league play 3-1. As a team, the Patriots shoot 73 percent from the line and make 6.4 three-point baskets per game, second only to the Flyers in both categories in conference standings. GMU is led by Taylor Brown with 22.1 ppg. (1st A-10), 3.2 apg. (t-12th A-10) and 1.6 spg. Kristi Mokube is the team's leading rebounder with 6.0 boards per contest.

Last Time Out
Senior Ally Malott poured in a career-high 30 points to go with nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks as Dayton defeated Saint Louis, 87-72, on Jan. 31. Four other Flyers finished with double-figures scoring, including senior Andrea Hoover with 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the win. Malott's 30 points was the first 30-point game for a Flyer since the 2011-12 season.

Series Stuff
Prior to George Mason joining the Atlantic 10 last season, the Flyers and Patriots have never met. Dayton won both meetings between the two programs last season to lead the series, 2-0. Last time the two squared off in Fairfax, Dayton came away with a 91-64 win on Jan. 14, 2014.

70's the Magic Number
Since the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 101-10 (.910) when scoring 70 or more points, including 14-1 this season. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.

She Dropped 30
Behind a 13-for-16 night from the floor, senior forward Ally Malott scored a career-high 30 points in UD's 87-72 win over Saint Louis on Jan. 31. It was the first time a Flyer had scored 30 points in a game since former Flyer Justine Raterman scored 32 at Duquesne on Feb. 25, 2012. Malott's hard work paid off with an Atlantic 10 Player of the Week nod on Feb. 2

1,000 and Counting
With her 24 points against Iowa on Nov. 22, senior Ally Malott became the 22nd member of the 1,000-point club at UD. She currently has 1,284 career points for 14th all-time in Dayton scoring history. Senior Andrea Hoover reached the 1,000-point milestone in UD's 73-69 win over VCU on Feb. 5, 2014. She was the 21st Flyer to join the club and ninth to do so as a junior. Hoover currently has 1,626 career points and ranks sixth all-time at Dayton.
On The Clock: Junior Amber Deane has 885 career points.

Three Points of Excellence
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 434 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012. This season, UD hit 11 three-point baskets in its game against Central Michigan at UD Arena on Dec. 13.

We'll Take the Free Ones
As a team, the Flyers shot 76.4 percent from the free throw line in 2013-14, the BEST team free throw percentage in Dayton history. The 76.4 percent ranked second in the Atlantic 10 and 14th nationally. Then-junior Andrea Hoover led the Flyers from the line with a 93.6 free throw percentage (1st A-10, 3rd NCAA).

Currently, the Flyers are 343-449 from the line for 76.4 percent - first in the A-10 and 10th nationally. Hoover again leads the team at 89.7 percent (104-116; 2nd A-10, 11th NCAA).

We've Got Two CLASSy Seniors
Seniors Andrea Hoover and Ally Malott have been selected as candidates for the Senior CLASS Award - Dayton is the only program with TWO players among the final 30 in the running for the award. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award honors the attributes of NCAA Division I senior student-athletes in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition.

You Look Familiar
Senior Andrea Hoover has been in the Flyers' starting lineup for 88 consecutive games and in 107 of the 112 games she has been a part of at Dayton. Fellow senior Ally Malott has also played in all 112 games over the past four seasons with a total of 77 starts. Malott has made 55 consecutive appearances in the starting lineup for UD.

Deadly from a Distance
With 213 made three-point baskets for her career, senior Andrea Hoover ranks second all-time in the Dayton record book. She's just eight three-pointers behind Stephanie Miller (1999-04) who holds the record at 221.

You're Invited to a Block Party
The team's blocks leader for the past two seasons is at it again ... junior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova is averaging 2.55 blocks per game this season which ranks first in the Atlantic 10 and 25th nationally. Cornélie-Sigmundová has 142 career blocks and she ranks fourth in program history - 78 blocks behind the all-time leader Michele Kruty (220; 1984-88).

Back in the Saddle Again
Over 20 games this season Dayton has had some players stuck on the bench due to injury. For UD's game at Davidson on Jan. 7, all 12 players were cleared for game action, including sophomore Andrijana Cvitkovic, who saw her first playing time of the season against the Wildcats, and senior Tiffany Johnson, who has missed a few games this season with a foot injury. Sophomore Celeste Edwards also played against Davidson, her first game since Dec. 7. Edwards has gone back on the injured reserve list but Dayton now enjoys greater depth in both front-court and back-court positions.

Flyers in League Play
Dayton has won 47 of its last 52 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.904), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, including posting a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season. Of its five A-10 losses over the last four seasons, Dayton has taken three L's at home and two on the road.

You Better Watch Out
For the second time in as many seasons, senior Andrea Hoover has been named to the 50-person Naismith Trophy Watch List and is in the early-season running for the Women's College Basketball Player of the Year as presented by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. The mid-season, 30-player roster will be announced Feb. 11.

First Half Success = Second Half Victory
Dayton is 14-2 this season when leading at halftime, including a perfect 6-0 in Atlantic 10 play. The Flyers are 1-1 when either trailing at the half or tied at halftime.

97 Wins Over Four Years
Since moving up to Division I for the 1984-85 season, the winningest four-year period of Dayton basketball was 2009-12 with 97 wins. With 16 wins this season, the senior duo of Andrea Hoover and Ally Malott (Tiffany Johnson did not play her first two seasons at Dayton) are tied at fourth on the all-time class wins list.

Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
Dayton was unanimously picked to win the 2014-15 Atlantic 10 Conference title. The Flyers earned all 14 first-place votes among picks from the conference's head coaches. Four Dayton players were also recognized on Preseason All-Conference Teams, including seniors Andrea Hoover and Ally Malott who were named to the First Team. Junior Amber Deane earned mention on the Second Team while sophomore Celeste Edwards was named to both the Third and All-Defensive Teams.

Welcome to the Team
Dayton signed three to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period: Lauren Cannatelli (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West), Madeleine Dennis (Perth, Western Australia/Mount Lawley) and Ashleigh Parkinson (Newark, Ohio/Newark Catholic). The trio will be joining the team in the fall of 2015.

Atlantic 10 Format
Despite its name, the Atlantic 10 conference consists of 14 member schools competing under one division in women's basketball. Each team will play a 16-game conference slate this coming season, including three home-and-away series. Dayton will play two games against George Washington, Richmond and Saint Louis and one against the remaining field during league action. The conference most recently welcomed Davidson, and this will be the first year the Flyers will square off against the Wildcats in program history.

Perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR)
Dayton women's basketball has posted a perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for nine consecutive seasons, every year the rate has been published except for one. The Flyers are one of only eight programs to post a perfect score and reach the NCAA Tournament for the past five seasons: Dayton, DePaul, Duke, Iowa State, Notre Dame, St. John's, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Additionally, Dayton was the only school to have both its men's and women's basketball programs post perfect GSR scores and make appearances in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

National Team Experience
Five Flyers have experience playing for their respective national teams.
• Sophomore Saicha Grant-Allen most recently was a member of Canada's Senior B Women's Basketball National Team that claimed the 36th Annual William Jones Cup in Taipei, Taiwan, during the summer of 2014.
• Sophomore Andrijana Cvitkovic played for the Croatian U18 National Team during the summer of 2012.
• Junior Amber Deane participated in the 2013 USA Basketball U19 World Championship Team trials.
• Junior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova has played on the French National U16, U17 and U18 teams.
• Senior Ally Malott was a member of the 2010 USA Basketball U18 National Team that compiled a perfect 5-0 record and earned the 2010 FIBA Americas Championship gold medal.
