SIX FLYERS IN DOUBLE FIGURES AS #UDWBB SAILS PAST SAINT LOUIS

Austria and Malott Lead Dayton with 17 Points Apiece in the Regular Season Finale

ST. LOUIS - Six scored in double figures as the University of Dayton women's basketball team sailed past Saint Louis, 95-68, in both teams' regular season finale. Senior Ally Malott and junior Kelley Austria each scored 17 points to lead the Flyers offensively while junior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova had 10 rebounds. With the win, Dayton finishes the 2014-15 regular season with a 23-5 overall mark and a 14-2 record in Atlantic 10 play while Saint Louis moves to 14-15 on the year and 7-9 in conference action.

Also for the Flyers, senior Andrea Hoover added 14 points to go with eight rebounds, six assists and five steals and sophomore Saicha Grant-Allen chipped in 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Dayton out-rebounded Saint Louis, 45-28, and the Flyers shot 50.8 percent from the field to the Billikens' 35.3 percent.

Holding the one-point, 41-40 lead heading into the second half, Dayton only allowed Saint Louis 28 points on 6-of-22 shooting over the final 20 minutes of play.

Dayton led by as many as 10 early in the first half before Saint Louis rallied to pull the game even at 34 points apiece with 4:20 left to play. A layup from Grant-Allen at the 2:16 mark gave the Flyers a three-point advantage and would got into intermission up one, 41-40.

The Billikens were led by Sadie Stipanovich with a game-high 24 points to go with a team-high six rebounds.

The Flyers will head to Richmond, Virginia, on Wednesday to take part in the Atlantic 10 Championship March 6-8. As the number-two seed in the tournament, Dayton received a bye and will play the winner of No. 7 Saint Joseph's and No. 10 George Mason on Friday at 4:30 p.m. The quarterfinal game will be produced by American Sports Network and broadcast locally on ABC 22.
