DAYTON RETURNS HOME TO FACE VANDERBILT

Flyers Begin Three-Game Homestand

DAYTON -- Another key non-conference showdown will take place Wednesday as the University of Dayton Flyers host the Vanderbilt Commodores on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.  The game will be carried by Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and is available with live streaming video, audio and stats at DaytonFlyers.com.

POWER UP
• The Flyers have won 14 of the last 17 against SEC opponents, including the last five.
• Dayton is 31-14 in the last 10 years against programs from the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, SEC and Pac-12 Conferences.
• UD went 4-1 in 2015-16 against power five schools after wins over No. 21/16 Vanderbilt, Alabama, Arkansas and Iowa.
• Dayton's 31 victories have come against Ole Miss (five times), Alabama (four times), Georgia Tech (three times), Boston College and Auburn (twice), Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Stanford, Syracuse, Ohio State, California, North Carolina, Minnesota, Illinois, Louisville, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Iowa and Pittsburgh once.

SUPERIOR SENIORS
• The senior class of Kyle Davis, Scoochie Smith and Kendall Pollard are on pace to be the winningest class in UD history.
• The trio has 85 victories in their first 116 games, three wins ahead of the pace of the Class of 2011 (Chris Wright, Devin Searcy, Peter Zesterman and Logan Nourse).
• The Class of 2011 finished with 97 wins.

OOOH OOOH SCOOCHIE
• Scoochie Smith continues to move up the charts and potentially join an elite class of UD greats.
• He ranks 47th at Dayton in scoring with 991 points and is 11th in assists with 390.
• He will be just the sixth Flyer in program history to be a member of UD's 1,000 point, 400 assist club.
• Against Northwestern, Smith had a career-high six steals to go with a team-high 18 points.

CHARLES IN CHARGE
• Charles Cooke, a Jerry West Award and Lute Olson Award Watch List player, continues to sizzle for Dayton.
• Cooke has scored in double figures in 15 straight games dating back to last season.
• He leads Dayton in scoring (19.2), field goals (62), 3-point field goals (18) free throws (50) and minutes (31.7).

#TRENDING
• Charles Cooke is the only Flyer to have scored in double figures in every game this season.
• The Flyers have won 14 of their last 16 when Kyle Davis scores in double figures.
• Kyle Davis is 26 of 35 inside the arc this season (.742).
• Xeyrius Williams the past six games is averaging 9.2 points and 1.8 blocks, while shooting .525 from the field.
• Sam Miller the last four games is 9 of 11 from the free throw line (.818) and averaging 7.0 points.
• When Ryan Mikesell shoots 50 percent or better from the floor, UD is 4-0 this season.

• The month of December has been kind to the Flyers.
• In the Archie Miller era, Dayton is 28-9 in December (.757).
• Over the previous 10 seasons, the Flyers are 59-14 (.808) in December.
• UD has won 11 of the last 13 games in December.
• Another December detail, the Flyers have had a winning record in December for 18 consecutive seasons.

ABOUT VANDERBILT
• The Vanderbilt Commodores, 6-5 overall, have one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country, converting 9.5 shots per game.
• The Commodores are led by the four-headed monster of Matthew Fisher-Davis (15.0 ppg), Luke Kornet (13.1 ppg), Jeff Roberson (11.1 ppg) and Riley Lachance (9.5 ppg).

SERIES STUFF
• Vanderbilt leads the series 4-1.
• Last year the Flyers beat Vanderbilt in Nashville, 72-67 behind 20 points from Kendall Pollard.
