NO. 24 DAYTON VISITS GEORGE MASON ON SATURDAY
  • The No. 24/24 ranked University of Dayton Flyers look for their seventh straight victory, as they travel to face the George Mason Patriots on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.
  • The game will be carried by MASN & Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and is available with live streaming video, audio and stats at DaytonFlyers.com.

ABOUT GEORGE MASON
  • The George Mason Patriots, 8-14 overall and 2-7 in the A-10, will be playing their third game in six days.
  • The Patriots are led by Shevon Thompson (8.9 ppg, 10.3 rpg), an Atlantic 10 All-Conference Third Team selection last year.

SERIES STUFF
  • Dayton leads the all-time series 5-1 and won the last five meetings.
  • The Flyers defeated the Patriots last year at UD Arena, 76-63.

JUBILANT JUNIORS
  • The junior class of Kyle Davis, Scoochie Smith and Kendall Pollard are on pace to be the winningest class in UD history.
  • The trio has 71 victories in their first 94 games, three wins ahead of the pace of the Class
  • of 2011 (Chris Wright, Devin Searcy, Peter Zesterman and Logan Nourse).
  • The Class of 2011 finished with 97 wins.
  • Counting redshirt junior Charles Cooke, the juniors are also four of Dayton's top scorers: Cooke, 15.7 ppg; Pollard, 11.2 ppg, Smith, 9.9 ppg; and Davis, 8.3 ppg.

  • Steve McElvene's 46 blocks are tied with Sean Finn for the third-most all-time in a single-season at UD.

NATIONAL RANKING NOTES
  • Dayton earned the No. 24 ranking in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls this week.
  • It's first time since 2009 Dayton has been ranked in the top 25 of the AP poll for more than one week in the regular season.
  • UD is 128-43 all-time as a ranked team.
  • It's the first time they've been ranked in both polls at the same time since they were No. 22 in both polls last season on Jan. 19.
  • The Flyers are 2-2 all-time when ranked No. 24.

WINNING ATTITUDE
  • Dayton has gone 73 consecutive games without two straight losses.
  • It is the third-longest active streak in the NCAA behind Villanova and Kansas.
  • This season the Flyers are 12th in the RPI with 10 victories over Top 100 programs.
