COACH ERIC GOLZ'S QUOTE
While we are certainly disappointed with the result, we can take both some difficult lessons and some really positive things away from the game to build on going forward into future seasons. We started the match slow and conceded early, and that makes for a difficult match when playing away to the league champion. Our response in the second half was what we can build on moving forward, we were able to better control the match and play through their pressure with some really good soccer at times. We created a number of chances in both halves, and continued to the battle until the end in the second half. I was proud of the effort, proud of the response to some difficult situations, and think that we will take a great deal away from the season that will benefit us moving forward. We are all certainly thankful for the contributions of our senior class over their careers. Alexis, Kaitlynn, Sidney, Nicolette, and Abby are all very much appreciated and they will be missed.
