DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team returns home to host Northeastern University on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at UD Arena as part of Educational Appreciation Day.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton comes into the game with a 1-1 record on the season after defeating Colgate at home in the season opener and falling at No. 9 Maryland in the Flyers' last outing. UD is 1-0 at home this season as well.
Head coach
Shauna Green is the reigning A-10 Coach of the Year and is in her third season at the helm of the Flyers. With a 47-18 record at Dayton and three conference titles, expectations are high for the program.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 69.0 points per game and giving up 70.0 to opposing teams. Dayton is shooting 39.8 percent overall, 30.6 percent from three-point range, and 65.6 percent from the free throw line. The Flyers do benefit from a +2.5 turnover margin advantage though.

Julia Chandler leads the team with 20.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while senior
Lauren Cannatelli is adding 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds each outing. Junior
Jayla Scaife is the third leading scorer with 11.0 points as well.
SCOUTING NORTHEASTERN
Northeastern comes to Dayton with a 2-0 record overall and playing its first road game of the season. The Huskies have a two-game winning streak after defeating the A-10's Fordham last game.
Head coach Kelly Cole is in her fifth season at Northeastern and is looking for her 50th career win for the Huskies.
Northeastern is right there with the Flyers, averaging 69.5 points per game, but is holding opponents to 52.5 points each contest. The Huskies are shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from behind the arc, and 78.6 percent from the charity stripe.
Leading NU is Stella Clark with 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 64.3 percent from the floor. Gabby Giacone, sister of Dayton's
Jenna Giacone, is adding 11.5 points as well.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton battled No. 9 Maryland on the road and came back from a 23-point deficit, but still suffered a 71-82 loss to the nationally ranked Terps. Chandler led the way with 23 points.
Northeastern faced another A-10 foe in Fordham on Sunday at home and earned a 58-54 win over the Rams. The Huskies led throughout the game and held on late.

Lauren Cannatelli made her 200th career three-pointer, becoming just the third Flyer in program history to pass the 200 mark. She trails just Stefanie Miller and
Andrea Hoover on the all-time list.

Shauna Green was named A-10 Coach of the Year in just her second year in charge. She guided the Flyers to historic seasons already and has a .746 winning percentage in 60 games.

CANNATELLI SETS THREE-POINT MARK

Lauren Cannatelli set her second Dayton school record last season by hitting her 79th three-pointer of the year on Feb. 24 at Saint Louis. The Cincinnati native surpassed former Flyer
Andrea Hoover by making her 79th three-pointer of the campaign, joining her single-game record of 10 made three's from earlier last season.
THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 539 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
