DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team won against Capital in Friday's exhibition in the newly renovated UD Arena. The final score was 89-71, as the Flyers shot over 60% from the field.
The Flyers were led by Trey Landers, who scored 15 points on 7-8 shooting while adding in five rebounds. Josh Cunningham added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Jhrey Matos had a huge second half in his first game Dayton in a Dayton uniform, scoring 13 of his 15 points in the second half.
GAME BREAKDOWN

• Ryan Mikesell scored the first five points for Dayton in his return to action after missing last year.
• Capital started strong, going 7-8 from the field to start the game.

• Matos scored 13 in the second half to help the Flyers finish off the game.
