DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team travels to Columbia, S.C. to take on No. 13/12 South Carolina Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton is 2-3 on the season and 0-2 away from home so far. The Flyers have faced a tough schedule with games against last year's NCAA Tournament participants No. 9 Maryland, Toledo, and Green Bay.
Head coach
Shauna Green is the reigning A-10 Coach of the Year and is in her third season at the helm of the Flyers. With a 48-20 record at Dayton and three conference titles, expectations are high for the program.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 64.4 points per game and allowing 64.8 to opposing teams. Dayton is shooting 38.4 percent from the floor, 32.7 percent from three, and 66.0 percent from the free throw line. UD does face a -3.6 rebounding margin and -2.2 turnover margin as well.
Leading the way for the Flyers is junior
Jayla Scaife, who is averaging 14.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, while redshirt junior
Julia Chandler is chipping in 13.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
SCOUTING SOUTH CAROLINA
South Carolina welcomes the Flyers after a tough trip to the Vancouver Showcase this past weekend, losing two of its three games. The Gamecocks are 3-3 on the year, but have played No. 9 Maryland and No. 8 Oregon State.
Head coach Dawn Staley is in her 11th season at USC with over 250 wins, numerous All-Americans, and the 2017 National Championship. She was also named National Coach of the Year in 2014.
South Carolina is scoring 79.7 points per game and holding opponents to just 65.8 points each outing. The Gamecocks shoot 41.6 percent overall, 31.2 percent behind the arc, and 72.2 percent from the charity stripe. They do however have to overcome a -1.5 rebounding margin.
Leading the Gamecocks is Te'a Cooper with 16.8 points and 3.2 assists per game. Tyasha Harris is contributing 9.3 points and 3.5 assists as well. Alexis Jennings is the leading rebounder on the team with 6.2 each contest.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton suffered a 51-35 loss at Green Bay on Saturday after scoring just 12 points in the second half. Scaife had a team-high 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead UD.
South Carolina dropped its second game in a row with a 90-85 overtime loss to Drake at the Vancouver Showcase on Saturday. Cooper scored 31 points and recorded three steals in the effort.

Head coach
Shauna Green was named A-10 Coach of the Year in just her second year in charge. She guided the Flyers to historic seasons already and has a .746 winning percentage in 60 games.

THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 542 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
70'S THE MAGIC NUMBER
Since the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 148-18 (.903) when scoring 70 or more points, including 11-1 in 2016-17. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.
