DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team defeated Presbyterian by a score of 81-69 in front of a sellout crowd of 13,174 at UD Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Flyers improved to 7-5 with the win, while Presbyterian drops to 6-7 on the season.

Jalen Crutcher and
Jordan Davis led the way for the Flyers with 19 and 18 points, respectively.
Trey Landers also added a double-double with 15 points and a career-high 14 rebounds.

GAME BREAKDOWN

1st Half: Dayton 45, Presbyterian 17
- The Flyers went on a 9-0 run before the first timeout, with 5 points from Jalen Crutcher, a dunk from Ryan Mikesell, and an old-fashioned three-point play from Josh Cunningham to take a 13-3 lead with 16:45 in the opening half.
- Dayton went 8-for-11 (73%) from the floor to start out the game to take a 19-8 lead with 13:15 to play.
- Crutcher scored five consecutive points off of a three-pointer and layup with about seven minutes left until halftime to double up Presbyterian by a 26-13 margin.
- Crutcher was a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor with 14 points in the first half.
- The Flyers ended the half on a 17-1 scoring run to take a 45-17 lead into the break.
2nd Half: Dayton 81, Presbyterian 69
- After the first timeout of the second half, Jordan Davis hit a three putting the Flyers at 53, and the Blue Hose at 29.
- Francois Lewis & Adam Flagler led Presbyterian's offense with 20 points apiece, accounting for 40 of their 69 total points.
- Trey Landers made a layup just under the eight-minute mark to bring the Dayton lead back to twenty points, 66-46.Â
- The Blue Hose lessened the Flyers lead with a series of Davon Bell & Lewis baskets, cutting the lead to only 12 with 1:37 to play, which was the closest the deficit had been since the score was 28-16 at the 6:38 mark of the opening half.
- Bell and Lewis were responsible for all of Presbyterian's final 17 points.

- Jalen Crutcher led Dayton with 19 points and five assists.
- Crutcher has now scored in double figures in 10 straight games.
