@DaytonMBB Falls At No. 18 Rhode Island, 81-56

KINGSTON, R.I. – Trey Landers recorded his second career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, but the Dayton Flyers fell to the No. 18 Rhode Island Rams, 81-56.

Jalen Crutcher added 12 points as Dayton dropped to 13-15 overall and 7-9 in the Atlantic 10.

FIRST HALF
  • Dayton trailed 36-34 in the opening 20 minutes. The Flyers committed 13 turnovers, second-most in a first half this season.
  • UD shot 58 percent from the field (14 of 24), led by 10 points from Crutcher.

SECOND HALF
  • Rhode Island opened the second half connecting on 8 of 9 field goals and took a 57-42 lead with 11:13 to go.
  • URI continued the offensive hot streak with a 22-4 run and led 72-46 with 5:20 left to play.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Dayton dropped to 1-9 on the road this season.
  • Rhode Island improved to 21-0 when leading at the half.
