OLEAN, N.Y. - The University of Dayton softball team completed the Atlantic 10 series sweep of St. Bonaventure Friday with a 12-5 win at SBU's Joyce Field. Sophomore Ellie Ziegler went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including her second home run of the series.

Dayton improves to 12-18 overall and 3-3 in A-10 play while St. Bonaventure moves to 8-17 on the season and 1-5 in league action.

SCORING BREAKDOWN
St. Bonaventure scored first, plating two runs in the first, but Dayton sent four across home plate in the top of the second to take a 4-2 lead. The Bonnies fired back in the bottom of the second with three runs as a bases-loaded double set the score at 5-4 in favor of SBU. UD evened the game at five runs apiece in the top of the third as freshman Abby Ehrenborg singled in junior Lisa Tassi. Ziegler led off the fifth with a solo shot over the left field fence and the Flyers held a 6-5 advantage into the seventh. Dayton exploded for six runs on seven hits in the seventh to jump out seven on St. Bonaventure, 12-5, which proved to be the final score.
