OLEAN, N.Y. - The University of Dayton softball team completed the Atlantic 10 series sweep of St. Bonaventure Friday with a 12-5 win at SBU's Joyce Field. Sophomore
Ellie Ziegler went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including her second home run of the series.
Dayton improves to 12-18 overall and 3-3 in A-10 play while St. Bonaventure moves to 8-17 on the season and 1-5 in league action.
SCORING BREAKDOWN
St. Bonaventure scored first, plating two runs in the first, but Dayton sent four across home plate in the top of the second to take a 4-2 lead. The Bonnies fired back in the bottom of the second with three runs as a bases-loaded double set the score at 5-4 in favor of SBU. UD evened the game at five runs apiece in the top of the third as freshman

Lisa Tassi. Ziegler led off the fifth with a solo shot over the left field fence and the Flyers held a 6-5 advantage into the seventh. Dayton exploded for six runs on seven hits in the seventh to jump out seven on St. Bonaventure, 12-5, which proved to be the final score.
