COACH'S COMMENTS
"This was a good win for our young team today," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "You have to really grind on Sunday's, especially with the high temperatures today. The team did a great job executing the game plan. Furman has a very high end attack and our team defense did a great job shutting them down today. Offensively, we had some great looks on goal during the first half and were able to convert. In the second half, we showed a lot more composure and were unfortunate not to get the second goal on our counters. This was a good way to start the season."
UP NEXT
- The Flyers will host the Dayton Tournament next weekend with their first home game of the season starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Milwaukee.
