Men's Basketball Returns Home To Host George Mason Wednesday

Flyers & Patriots Both Have Just One Loss In Atlantic 10 Conference Play

DAYTON -- There are six teams with one loss (or fewer) in the Atlantic 10 Conference and two of them will matchup Wednesday night when the University of Dayton Flyers host George Mason.  Game time is 7 p.m. ET.  Wednesday's game is UD's game to be a part of Coaches vs. Cancer's "Suits & Sneakers" Week.

Dayton is 12-6 this season, and 4-1 in the Atlantic 10.  UD's losses are to teams with a combined record of 81-25 (.764 winning percentage).  Three of the teams are ranked, and a fourth is receiving votes.
The game will be carried by WHIO Radio, and televised by Spectrum News One.  Streaming audio, streaming video and stats will be available at DaytonFlyers.com.

THE NEARLY-TRANSFORMED UD ARENA 
The University of Dayton is past the halfway point of a $72 million renovation of its Arena. The transformation of University of Dayton Arena will occur in three phases – from 2017 to 2019.
Phase II included new entrances on three of the four sides, a new box office, new seats in the 300 and 400 levels on the east side and a new and expanded concourse on the east side.

•    UD improved to 12-6 and won its second A-10 road game with Saturday's 89-86 double overtime win at St. Bonaventure.  Ryan Mikesell led six Flyers in double digits with 21 points.
•    Dayton is fourth in the NCAA and leads the Atlantic 10 in FG% (.506, 509-1005).  
•    Obi Toppin is fifth (.676, 96-142) and Josh Cunningham 11th (.658, 96-146) in the nation in field goal percentage.  No other school has two in the top 25, and only one other team (Gonzaga) has two in the top 35.
•    Jalen Crutcher leads the A-10 in assists (6.0) and is the only player in the A-10's top five in assists, assist-to-turnover ratio (2nd, 2.5), 3-pt. FG per game (2nd, 2.6), 3-pt. FG% (3rd, .411, 46-111) and minutes played (3rd, 36.1). 
•    Trey Landers leads UD in rebounding (7.6).  He is third in the A-10, and as a 6-foot-5 guard, is the shortest member of the A-10 Top Five.
•    In UD's five A-10 games, Jordan Davis is averaging 16.2 points and shooting .515 (17-33) from outside the arc.  Seven of his 13 points at St. Bonaventure came in overtime.
•    The 10 millionth fan to attend a Flyer men's basketball game at UD Arena stepped through the turnstiles at the Richmond game.  UD is 11th school to cross the 10 million mark.  The others are Butler, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, Purdue, Syracuse and Vanderbilt.
