Men's Basketball Visits Fordham Saturday Afternoon

Game Time In The Bronx is 2 P.M. ET

DAYTON -- The University of Dayton Flyers go back on the road Saturday, visiting venerable Rose Hill Gymnasium in the Bronx to play Fordham.  Game time is 2 p.m. ET.  Dayton is 12-7 this season, and 4-2 in the Atlantic 10.  UD's losses are to teams with a combined record of 95-36 (.725 winning percentage).  Three of the teams are ranked, and a fourth is receiving votes.

The game will carried by WHIO Radio, and streamed on ESPN+.  Streaming audio, streaming video and stats will be available at DaytonFlyers.com.

THE NEARLY-TRANSFORMED UD ARENA 
The University of Dayton is past the halfway point of a $72 million renovation of its Arena. The transformation of University of Dayton Arena will occur in three phases – from 2017 to 2019.
Phase II included new entrances on three of the four sides, a new box office, new seats in the 300 and 400 levels on the east side and a new and expanded concourse on the east side.

•    Dayton is fifth in the NCAA (behind Gonzaga, Tennessee, Murray State and Creighton) and leads the Atlantic 10 in FG% (.504, 534-1059).  
•    Obi Toppin is fourth (.687, 101-147) and Josh Cunningham 10th (.658, 102-155) in the nation in field goal percentage.  No other school has two in the top 10, and only one other team (Gonzaga) has two in the top 35.
•    Jalen Crutcher leads the A-10 in assists (5.9) and is the only player in the A-10's top five in assists, 3-pt. FG per game (2nd, 2.5), assist-to-turnover ratio (3rd, 2.4),  minutes played (tied for 3rd, 36.2) and 3-pt. FG% (5th, .397, 48-121).
•    Trey Landers leads UD in rebounding (7.6).  He is third in the A-10, and as a 6-foot-5 guard, is the shortest member of the A-10 Top Five.
•    In UD's last five games, Jordan Davis is averaging a team-best 16.4 points and shooting .487 (19-39) from outside the arc.  Seven of his 13 points at St. Bonaventure came in overtime.
•    Dayton is one of just 25 D-I teams (out of 351) to have five players in double figures.
•    Ryan Mikesell lends UD in +/- this season (+7.53).  In the last three games, Mikesell has scored 42 points (14.0 avg.), while shooting .609 (14-23) FG and .909 (10-11) FT.  He had scored 38 total points (5.6 avg.) in his previous seven games.
•    The 10 millionth fan to attend a Flyer men's basketball game at UD Arena passed through its doors this season.  UD is the 11th school to cross the 10 million mark.  The others are Butler, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, Purdue, Syracuse and Vanderbilt.
•    Four of Dayton's final six home games have been declared sellouts, and a fifth has less than 25 tickets remaining.  Duquesne, VCU, Saint Louis and now La Salle are sold out, while Rhode Island is close.

•    Dayton is back home for a pair of games next week, beginning with Saint Joseph's Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. ET.
