DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team heads back out on the road to take on Buffalo Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. at Alumni Arena.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton travels to New York with a 5-5 record overall and a two-game winning streak. The Flyers are 2-1 in true road games this year and coming off a 12-day break for finals.
Head coach
Shauna Green is in her fourth season in charge of the Flyers and already has two tournament and one regular season conference titles, as well as being the former A-10 Coach of the Year in 2018.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 65.4 points per game and allowing 63.5 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 36.0 percent overall, 30.8 percent from three, and 67.9 percent from the free throw line. The Flyers also have a +5.5 rebounding margin, ranking 13th in the nation in total rebounds.

Erin Whalen, who is scoring 12.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, and senior
Jayla Scaife, who is adding 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds each outing.
SCOUTING BUFFALO
Buffalo hosts Dayton with a 7-2 record overall and a three-game winning streak. The Bulls have not lost at home this year, going 3-0 at Alumni Arena. UB's losses came on the road at San Jose State and Stanford.
Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack is in her eighth year at Buffalo and has led the Bulls to third NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four years last season.
This season, Buffalo is scoring 70.4 points each game and holding opposing teams to 65.1 points. The Bulls are shooting 39.5 percent from the field, 29.5 percent from behind the arc, and 71.2 percent from the charity stripe. UB ranks 21st in the country three point field goals attempted.
Leading the Bulls is Dyaisha Fair and her 23.4 points per game, which ranks fourth in the country while she leads the nation in field goal attempts. Theresa Onwuka is contributing 18.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game as well.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton earned a 58-41 win over Morehead St. at home on Dec. 5 in front of 10,554 fans at UD Arena. Scaife scored a team-high 16 points while the Flyers recorded a season-best 58 rebounds.
Buffalo defeated A-10 foe St. Bonaventure 46-36 on Dec. 7 on the road. The Bulls and Bonnies had a low-scoring first half, 16-14, but a big third quarter helped UB earn the victory. Fair led the way with 17 points and six boards.
THE SERIES
Dayton and Buffalo have played three times previously with the Flyers winning all three contests. The Flyers won last year's meeting on Dec. 7 in Dayton 72-59. The series dates back to 2011.
STATISTICAL RANKINGS
The Flyers rank 13th in the country in rebounds and 44th in free throw attempts. Individually,
