DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team continues its postseason run, taking on No. 5 seed Davidson on Friday, March 8 at 2 p.m. ET in the Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals at the A.J. Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the game with a 16-12 record overall and went 10-6 in the conference during the regular season. The Flyers are 1-1 this season in neutral site games and on a two-game winning streak.
Head coach
Shauna Green is the reigning A-10 Coach of the Year and is in her third season at the helm of the Flyers. With a 61-23 record at Dayton and three conference titles, expectations are high for the program.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 65.6 points per game and giving up just 58.6 points to opposing teams. Dayton is shooting 37.7 percent overall, 30.8 percent from three point range, and 69.8 percent from the free throw line. UD also benefits from a +2.9 rebounding and +0.5 turnover margins.
Dayton is led by junior
Jayla Scaife with 14.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while senior
Lauren Cannatelli is adding 13.4 points per game and shooting 90.3 percent from the free throw line.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
Davidson heads to Pittsburgh with a 17-13 record on the season and was 10-6 in A-10 play, earning the No. 5 seed due to UD having a tiebreaker win over the Wildcats. Davidson has not played a neutral site game this year and is 7-9 away from home.
Head coach Gayle Coats Fulks is in her second season in charge of the Wildcats.
Davidson scores 66.0 points per game and holds opponents to 61.3 points each outing. The Wildcats are shooting 38.5 percent from the floor, 30.3 percent from behind the arc, and 70.8 percent from the charity stripe. Davidson also has a +1.6 rebounding margin and +3.0 turnover margin.
The Wildcats are led by Sarah Donovan, who is averaging 13.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, and Justine Lyon, who is averaging 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Katie Turner is chipping in 12.2 points each contest as well.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton powered its way to a 65-38 victory over No. 13 seed La Salle on Tuesday, leading throughout the game. The Flyers shot 45.3 percent in the game, led by
Lauren Cannatelli's 13 point performance.
Davidson cruised to a 74-49 win over St. Bonaventure in the opening round of the A-10 Tournament Tuesday. The Wildcats outscored the Bonnies 26-8 in the first quarter and never looked back

Dayton and Davidson have played four times previously with the Flyers winning all four meetings, including an 83-69 overtime victory over the Wildcats on Feb. 20 of this season.
STATISTICAL RANKINGS
The Flyers rank sixth nationally in three point field goal percentage defense and ninth in defensive rebounds per game. Dayton also leads the A-10 in free throw attempts, free throws made, and rebounds per game. Individually,

Dayton has won 99 of its last 124 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.817), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, and includes a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season.
THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 565 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
70'S THE MAGIC NUMBER
Since the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 158-18 (.895) when scoring 70 or more points, including 11-1 in 2016-17. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.
