PITTSBURGH –The University of Dayton women's basketball team used its pace and speed to power its way to an 84-67 win over Davidson in the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship Semifinals Friday in Pittsburgh.

The Flyers (17-12) keep their postseason alive while the Wildcats (17-14) end their A-10 campaign.

GAME BREAKDOWN
1STÂ Quarter: Dayton 25, Davidson 16 Â
- The teams traded buckets back and forth over the first three minutes of the game, with the score tied at 6-6.
- Junior Jayla Scaife hit a big three after Davidson led 8-6 to put the Flyers back on top.
- Scaife followed that up with a drive and a bucket to pull ahead by three heading into the media timeout. Â
- Bench players came in for Dayton and contributed right away with free throws from redshirt junior Julia Chandler and junior Jenna Giacone.
- Dayton pushed its lead to seven at 21-14 heading into the final two minutes of the quarter.

2nd Quarter: Dayton 45, Davidson 29
- The second quarter started at a slow pace with neither team scoring in the first 1:50. Senior Tiaera Phillps broke the drought with a putback, giving the Flyers a double-digit lead.
- Senior Lauren Cannatelli drilled a three with 6:35 on the clock, forcing a Davidson timeout with UD up by 14.
- Davidson didn't score its first basket of the quarter until the 5:30 mark.
- The Flyers continued to press and got the margin to 17 at 40-32 with 2:29 to play.
- Dayton led by as much as 19 points, but Davidson pulled a few points back before the end of the second.
- Cannatelli led the Flyers in the first half with 12 points while Scaife added nine points.
- Redshirt sophomore Araion Bradshaw contributed in other ways with team-highs of five rebounds and three assists.
- Dayton shot 56.3 percent while holding Davidson to 46.2 percent.
- The Flyers got 24 points in the paint in the opening 20 minutes and 20 points from their bench.

3rd Quarter: Dayton 62, Davidson 46
- Dayton got off to a slow start to the third quarter with a few quick turnovers and fouls while Davidson went on a 4-0 run.
- The Wildcats cut the margin to 11 at 47-36 with just over 7:00 in the quarter.
- Cannatelli ended the Wildcat run with a four-point play with 6:48 to play.
- The Flyers stopped further bleeding of points for the next four minutes of action.

4th Quarter: Dayton 84, Davidson 67
- Dayton kept the momentum going in the start of the fourth to get the lead up to 20 at 67-47 at the 8:16 mark.
- Davidson called a timeout with 7:39 on the clock to try and stop the Flyer rally.
- The Wildcats mounted a comeback of their own to cut it 15 point margin again.
- Midway through the fourth, Dayton led 75-58, going 5-for-7 heading into it.
- Fouls started to mount up for Davidson with multiple players in foul trouble.
- Bradshaw hit a three to put UD back up 19 with 2:30 to play.
- Ward got a bucket and a foul to seal the game in the final 1:30.
