DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team continues its home stand with another Atlantic 10 contest against Saint Louis Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton is riding a six-game winning streak and have not lost a game since Dec. 20 in Florida against Wake Forest. The Flyers are 4-0 in A-10 play and 5-2 at home this season.

Head coach Shauna Green is in her fourth season in charge of the Flyers and already has two tournament and one regular season conference titles, as well as being the former A-10 Coach of the Year in 2018. She recently earned her 100th career victory.

As a team, the Flyers are scoring 67.8 points per game and holding opposing teams to 61.2 points for a +6.6 differential, which ranks second in the A-10. Dayton is shooting 38.4 percent overall, 34.6 percent from three, and 72.2 percent from the free throw line. The Flyers benefit from a +3.1 rebounding margin and +2.6 turnover margin.

Dayton is led by redshirt junior Erin Whalen's 14.0 points per game, which ranks eighth in the conference. Senior Jayla Scaife is contributing 11.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game as well. Redshirt senior Shakeela Fowler is the main facilitator with 4.1 assists to go with 9.3 points each outing.

SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis comes to Dayton for its first game on national TV and sits at 10-7 on the season. The Billikens are 2-2 in A-10 games and 5-3 on the road this season.

Head coach Lisa Stone is in her eighth season in charge of Saint Louis, but boasts over 600 wins in her 34 career campaigns.

This season, Saint Louis is scoring 60.8 points each outing and allowing just 57.6 points to opponents. The Billikens are shooting 37.5 percent from the floor, 32.3 percent from behind the arc, and 74.2 percent from the charity stripe. SLU is outrebounding teams by +5.6, but is committing more turnovers.

Leading the Billikens is Ciaja Harbison with 15.4 points and 3.6 assists per game. Three other players are averaging double-digit points in Myia Clark (10.9 ppg), Kendra Wilken (10.5 ppg), and Rachel Kent (10.0 ppg).

LAST TIME OUT
Dayton earned its fourth A-10 victory with a 54-41 decision over Duquesne Wednesday at UD Arena. The Flyers held the Dukes to just seven points in the first quarter and six points in the third. Jayla Scaife led with 15 points.

Saint Louis defeated St. Bonaventure at home Wednesday as well, 72-51. Myia Clark had a game-high 24 points while Ciaja Harbison chipped in 18 points in the effort.

THE SERIES
Dayton and Saint Louis have played 40 times with the Flyers dominating the series at 30 wins compared to the Billikens 10 victories. The series split last season, but UD defeated SLU in the regular season finale 73-57 at UD Arena.

STATISTICAL RANKINGS
The Flyers rank 41st in three-point field goals made, 44th in rebounds, and 45th in free throws made nationally. Individually, Shakeela Fowler ranks 43rd in the country in free throw percentage while Erin Whalen ranks 49th in made threes.

STARTING THE NEW YEAR OFF RIGHT
In Coach Green's four year tenure at UD, the Flyers are 25-2 in the month of January including perfect in 2016-17, 2017-18, and so far in 2019-20.

FLYERS BY 40
Dayton defeated La Salle on Jan. 4, 2020 in the A-10 opener 98-58, the first 40-point win for the Flyers since defeating La Salle on Feb. 22, 2015, 91-49, at home. Dayton scored 94+ points in two of three straight games.

CHALLENGED EARLY AND OFTEN
Dayton created one of the hardest non-conference schedules in program history, taking on three nationally ranked teams in the first seven games, and facing numerous 2019 NCAA Tournament participants. The Flyers have already played No. 6 South Carolina, No. 4 UConn, No. 21 Gonzaga, three-peat MAC Champions Central Michigan, and former NCAA participants Northeastern, Auburn, and Maine.

FLYERS IN REGULAR SEASON LEAGUE PLAY
Dayton has won 103 of its last 128 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.800), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, and includes a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season.

WE'VE GOT AN AUDIENCE
On Dec. 5, 2019, the Flyers played in front of 10,554 fans at UD Arena while hosting Morehead State. The record-breaking crowd was due to the overwhelming success of UD's annual School Day game, a chance for local school-aged children to take a field trip with the Flyers. It was the fourth largest crowd for a NCAA women's game this year and biggest in program history. With a home attendance average of 2,605, Dayton ranked 48th out of 349 DI programs last season.

THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 586 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.

70'S THE MAGIC NUMBER
Since the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 165-20 (.898) when scoring 70 or more points, including 11-1 in 2016-17. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.
