DAYTON - Bowling Green was able to hold on for the 6-5 win over the University of Dayton softball team Wednesday. The Flyers and Falcons were scheduled for a doubleheader at UD Softball Stadium but game two was suspended in the middle of the third due to darkness.

Dayton moves to 3-4 on the season while Bowling Green improves to 8-7 overall.

• 3 - sophomore Emily Daniel went 3-for-4 at the plate with one run scored
• 2 - junior Alyssa Cacini collected two RBI on her home run in the fourth, the only home run of the game

Dayton will be heading to Murfreesboro, Tenn., this weekend to take part in the MTSU Invitational March 12-14. UD is set to match up against Illinois State, North Dakota State and host Middle Tennessee for a total of five games to be played at Blue Raider Softball Stadium.
