MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The University of Dayton softball team suffered two losses by a total of two runs Saturday on the second day of the MTSU Invitational. North Dakota State edged Dayton, 5-4, in nine innings in the day's first game while Illinois State used a walk-off home run to get past UD, 1-0, in the nightcap.
Dayton is now 4-7 on the season.
GAME ONE
North Dakota State 5, Dayton 4 (9 inn.)

Abby Ehrenborg went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI after knocking out her fifth home run of the season

Quinn Pallardy also tallied two hits for the Flyers
Winning Pitcher: Mac Schultz (1-0) - 9.0 IP, three earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts
Losing Pitcher:
Addy Bullis (2-2) - 2.2 IP, zero earned runs on zero hits with two strikeouts
GAME TWO
Illinois State 1, Dayton 0
• Pallardy and freshman
Megan Ward tallied the Flyers' hits in the loss to the Redbirds
• Bullis carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the sixth
Winning Pitcher: Mack Leonard (4-1) - 7.0 IP, zero earned runs on two hits with seven strikeouts
Losing Pitcher:
Sarah Bailitz (2-3) - 0.2 IP, one earned run on one hit
