WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton softball team closed out its four-game Atlantic 10 series at George Washington with two losses Sunday afternoon. The Colonials claimed a 9-1 win in five innings in game one and wrapped up the series with a 4-1 win in the nightcap.
Dayton is now 11-20 overall and an even 6-6 in conference games while George Washington improved to 20-7 on the season and 12-0 in league action.
GAME ONE
George Washington 9, Dayton 1 (5)

Katie Reeg knocked out her second home run of the season in the second inning for the Flyers
• 3 - freshman
Megan Ward tallied a game-high three hits, her team-best 12th multiple-hit game of the season
Winning Pitcher: F. Weber (8-1) - 4.0 IP, zero earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts to zero walks
Losing Pitcher:
Sarah Bailitz (3-6) - 2.2. IP, two earned runs on two hits with zero strikeouts to two walks
UP NEXT
Dayton will take a step out of Atlantic 10 Conference play with a single game at Butler on Wednesday, April 14. The Flyers and Bulldogs are set to square off at 4 p.m. at Butler Softball Field in Indianapolis.
