DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team will return home to host Saint Louis University on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 12 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton returns home with a 2-0 Atlantic 10 mark and an 11-3 mark overall. The Flyers have won five straight contests and are 5-1 at home this season.
Head coach
Shauna Green is in her sixth season in charge of the Flyers and was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year 2020, her second time at UD. She earned her 100th win at Dayton in the regular season finale last year.
As a team this year, Dayton is scoring 68.4 points per game and holding opponents to 57.7 points each outing. The Flyers are shooting 40.8 percent overall, 38.6 percent from three point range, and 66 percent from the free throw line. UD benefits from +4.8 rebounding and +1.8 turnover margins.

SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis comes to Dayton with a 4-8 record overall and will be playing for their first A-10 game after having the last three games postponed or cancelled due to COVID concerns within the program. The Billikens have lost three of their last four contests.
Head coach Lisa Stone is in her 10th season at SLU and has 36 years of head coaching experience. She has been named conference coach of the year eight times.
This season, the Billikens are averaging 62.5 points per game and giving up 65.5 points to opponents. SLU is shooting 39.9 percent from the field, 26.9 percent from behind the arc, and 71.1 percent from the charity stripe.
Saint Louis is led by two-time A-10 First Teamer Ciaja Harbison who is recording 16.3 points and 35.9 minutes played per game. Brooke Flowers is adding 11.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game while Marisa Warren is chipping in 8.4 points each outing.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton went to La Salle and earned a 65-57 win thanks to a season-high 42 points in the paint and 18 points each from sophomore
Tenin Magassa and senior
Kyla Whitehead.
Saint Louis last played on Dec. 20 against Illinois State, falling 77-66 on the road. Ciaja Harbison had a team-high 23 points while Marisa Warren had 19 points.
THE SERIES
Dayton and Saint Louis have met 45 times in the rivalry with the Flyers controlling the series at 34 wins to the Billikens 11 victories. UD is 17-4 at home against SLU, but dropped a 64-57 decision at home in the last meeting on Feb. 20, 2021 at UD Arena.
STATISTICAL RANKINGS
Dayton ranks seventh in the nation in three point field goal percentage defense and 19th in turnovers per game. Individually,
Araion Bradshaw is 17th in the country in assist to turnover ratio and 37th in free throw attempts while
Erin Whalen is 35th in three point field goals per game.
OFF TO A HOT START
Dayton has found much success under Coach Green in the month of January, going 36-2 in her six seasons as head coach of the Flyers. That includes going undefeated in four of her first five seasons.
THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 635 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
