DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team defeated Capital on Saturday by a score of 80-42 in the home opener exhibition game in front of a sellout crowd of 13,409.
The Flyers were led by junior Toumani Camara, who had 16 points and nine rebounds. Camara was joined in double digits by DaRon Homes II (15), R.J. Blakney (12), and redshirt sophomore Kobe Elvis (10).
GAME BREAKDOWN
1st Half: Dayton 41, Capital 15

DaRon Holmes II opened up the game drawing a foul inside and going one-for-two at the foul line.

Toumani Camara scored Dayton's first field goal after a curl cut on an inbound play drawn up for him.

After a Capital foul, Dayton's Kobe Elvis found R.J. Blakney on an alley-oop to spark Dayton's energy and increase the lead to 47-15.

Blakney put home a monster dunk off the dribble over three defenders to shift the momentum back towards the Flyers.
