DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's basketball team battled the Cedarville University Lady Jackets at home and powered its way to a 94-58 victory.
The Flyers (1-10) found their first win of the year against the Yellow Jackets (2-8).

- Dayton started the game shooting 2-of-3 from the floor and accrued an 8-2 lead with 6:20 left in the first quarter.

- With 5:59 in the third quarter, The Flyers held the Yellow Jackets to only five points, while they scored 14 themselves and were on a 10-0 run.
- After making the last seven of eight field goals, the Flyers lead balloons to 26 with 1:34 left in the third quarter.
- Freeman broke her career high in assists with 10 and continues to increase that high.
- The Flyers were led by Perez with 18 points, Smith with six rebounds and Freeman with 10 assists.
4th Quarter: Dayton 94, Cedarville 58
- At the media timeout at 4:57 left in the game, the Flyers led 82-49. Freeman continues to impress, hitting a three point shot to give her 13 points and 11 assists, her first double-double of the season.
- The Flyers scored seven straight points over a two minute stretch to add to its lead.
- Dayton dominated the rest of the game giving them their first victory of the year.
