ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The University of Dayton softball team split its Atlantic 10 doubleheader at Saint Louis Friday, claiming game one by a margin of 1-0 before dropping game two, 4-2.

Dayton is now 13-20 on the season and 8-8 in conference games while Saint Louis moves to 17-19 overall and 9-4 in league action.

GAME ONE
Dayton 1, Saint Louis 0 (8)
• 9 - as a team, Dayton out-hit Saint Louis, 9-3
• 2 - both Alyssa Cacini and Emily Daniel tallied two hits in the game
• RBI - Quinn Pallardy knocked in the game-winning RBI with a two-out single in the top of the eighth
Winning Pitcher: Kallie Jones (1-2) - 3.0 IP, 0 ER, 4 K, 1 BB
Losing Pitcher: Chloe Wendling (12-10) - 8.0 IP, 1 ER, 5 K, 2 BB

GAME TWO
Saint Louis 4, Dayton 2
• 4 - for the second-consecutive game Jones tallied four strikeouts in the circle for the Flyers
• 2 - Kaelene Walter and Emma Schutter both recorded two hits in the game and Schutter collected one RBI and scored one run
Winning Pitcher: Taylor Hochman (5-8) - 7.0 IP, 1 ER, 4 K, 3 BB
Losing Pitcher: Kelsey Gumm (7-7) - 3.0 IP, 2 ER, 1 K, 4 BB

UP NEXT
Dayton and Saint Louis will close out their three-game series Saturday with a single game. First pitch between the Flyers and Billikens is set for 1 p.m. ET at Billiken Sports Center. The game will be available on ESPN+ to stream and Statbroadcast.com to follow via live stats.
