MUNCIE, Ind. - The University of Dayton men's golf team took seventh place at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational hosted by Ball State Sept. 2-3. In his first collegiate outing, freshman
Jacob Garland tied for third place overall to lead the Flyers.
The 54-hole event was held at the Delaware Country Club and the course was played at par 70 and 6,438 yards. Wright State claimed top team honors with a score of 277-283-286=846 (+6) and the Raiders' Mikkel Mathieson won a four-hole playoff to claim top medalist honors with a score of 69-70-69=208 (-2). Dayton turned in a team score of 293-288-292=873 (+33).
