DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team heads back out on the road to take on Saint Louis University Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton sits at .500 in Atlantic 10 play with a 2-2 record in the early stages of league play while going 3-12 on the season overall. The Flyers are 1-4 on the road this year, but 3-2 in the last five contests.  
Head coach 
Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her first season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
As a team this year, the Flyers are averaging 65.4 points per game and giving up 69.8 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 41.1 percent overall, 33.9 percent from three point range, and 72.9 percent from the free throw line. UD benefits from a +4.9 rebounding margin.
Dayton is led by redshirt junior 
Destiny Bohanon with 12.5 points each outing while senior 
Mariah Perez is adding 11.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore 
Arianna Smith had made five starts since coming back from injury, and is chipping in 10.2 points and 8.4 boards each outing.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis plays its second straight home game and first nationally televised game Sunday, sitting at 5-14 overall on the year and 1-3 in A-10 play. The Billikens have lost three of the last four and are 3-5 at home this season.
Head coach Rebecca Tillett is in her first year at SLU, coming over from Longwood University, and brought four of her former student-athletes over from the Lancers.
As a team, the Billikens are scoring 66.6 points each outing and allowing 71.8 points to opposing teams. Saint Louis is shooting 38.6 percent from the field, 25.4 percent from behind the arc, and 77.1 percent from the charity stripe. SLU faces negative rebounding and turnover margins as well.
Leading the way for the Billikens is Kyla McMakin, who is averaging 17.5 points per game and already has a 40-point game under her belt this season. Veteran post player Brooke Flowers is adding 9.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks per contest.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton hosted Davidson on Wednesday and held on for a 66-60 victory over the Wildcats at UD Arena. The Flyers led early and fended off a late comeback from the visitors as they won their second A-10 game of the year. 
Mariah Perez had game highs with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Saint Louis hosted Rhode Island on Thursday and suffered a 76-65 defeat at the hands of the Rams. The Billikens shot just 35 percent while allowing URI to shoot 48 percent in the contest. Kennedy Calhoun and Julia Martinez had 14 points each in the effort.
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Saint Louis have played 47 times previously with the Flyers holding a 36-11 advantage in the series. Dayton has won eight of the last nine meetings including both of last year's match-ups. The two teams last squared off on Feb. 9 in St. Louis with UD coming out on top 69-54.
STATISTICAL RANKINGS
As a team, Dayton ranks 30th in the country in defensive rebounds per game and 42nd in total rebounds. The Flyers are also 74th in the nation in three point percentage.
