SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the weekend with a three-game winning streak and a 2-0 showing at the Daytona Beach Invitational over the Thanksgiving break. The Flyers are 2-1 at home this season.
Williams-Jeter is in her second season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
The Flyers are averaging 70.6 points per game and giving up 72.7 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 41.3 percent overall, 28.6 percent from three point range, and 73.3 percent from the free throw line. UDÂ is one of the top rebounding teams in the Atlantic 10 with a +10.6 margin.
Leading the way for the Flyers is junior

Mariah Perez is contributing 10.1 points and 8.0 rebounds each contest. Junior
Arianna Smith already has three double-doubles this season and ranks third in the country in offensive rebounds, ninth in total boards.
SCOUTING PURDUE
Purdue comes to Dayton with a 3-3 record on the season and 0-1 away mark. The Boilers are coming off a 95-57 victory over Southern Indiana at home on Sunday, ending a two-game losing skid.
Head coach Katie Geralds is in her third season at the helm of her alma mater where she was an All-American in 2007.
As a team, Purdue is scoring 64.8 points per game and holding opponents to 62.3 points each outing. The Boilers rank ninth in the nation in free throw percentage at 81.4 percent as a team while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 27.6 percent from behind the arc. PU is being outrebounded, but committing fewer turnovers.
The Boilers are led by Abbey Ellis with 14.7 points and 1.5 steals per game while Caitlyn Harper and Madison Layden are chipping in 9.8 points apiece. Jeanae Terry has team highs of 5.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flyers and Boilers have met 13 times previously with Dayton holding an 8-5 series advantage. UD won the last meeting in 2021 in West Lafayette, 78-62. The Flyers have won two of the last three contests as well.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton finished the Daytona Beach Invitational with a 2-0 record after earning a 74-63 win over Wichita State Saturday. UD shot 43.1 percent from the field and got a career-high 19 rebounds and 13 points from
Arianna Smith.
Purdue dominated Southern Indiana this past Sunday in a 95-57 win at home. The Boilers outscored the Eagles 35-14 in the opening quarter and never looked back. Purdue shot 57.6 percent in the game and got double-digit outings from four different players. Â
LEADING THE CONFERENCE
Dayton ranks No. 1 in the Atlantic 10 in offensive rebounds per game and second in rebounding margin and rebounds per game. The Flyers are also fifth in the league in bench points, free throw percentage, and scoring offense.
DOUBLING-UP
Graduate student
Mariah Perez recorded 12 double-doubles last season, giving her 13 for her career. That was the most for a Flyer player since JaVonna Layfield had 19 in 2017-18. This season she has one double-double against SIUE while teammate
Arianna Smith has three double-doubles.
WE'VE GOT AN AUDIENCE
On Feb. 8, 2023, the Flyers played in front of 11,635 fans at UD Arena while hosting Saint Louis. The record-breaking crowd was due to the overwhelming success of UD's annual School Day game, a chance for local school-aged children to take a field trip with the Flyers. Dayton will host VCU this season for School Day on Jan. 24
QUITE THE CROWD
Along with setting the single-game attendance record in program history last season, Dayton also led the Atlantic 10 in average home attendance. The Flyers averaged 2,545 fans per game, which ranked top 60 in the nation.
THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 687 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
