DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's basketball team rallied, but came up short against Saint Louis University at in front of a record crowd at UD Arena.
The Flyers (4-18, 3-8 A-10) dropped their eighth Atlantic 10 contest while the Billikens (10-16, 6-5 A-10) earn their sixth conference victory.

th – Final three minutes – Saint Louis ended the game on a 12-0 run and that clinched the game for the visitors.
1st Quarter: Dayton 16, Saint Louis 20
- Junior Anyssa Jones opened up the game with a three pointer.
- Heading into the first media time out, Jones was the leading scorer with six points.
- At the 1:11 mark, senior Mariah Perez made one of two free throws to bring the game within six points.
- With an assist from redshirt junior Destiny Bohanon, Jones sank a deep three in the last 35 seconds.
- The Flyers shot 43 percent in the first quarter while holding the Billikens to 40 percent.
2nd Quarter: Dayton 34, Saint Louis 41
- Perez scored the first points of the quarter with a jumper.
- A driving layup at 5:52 by senior Sydney Freeman ended a scoring drought for the Flyers.
- Junior Taisiya Kozlova drained a three pointer to keep the momentum going.
- Before the media timeout, Bohanon made a three pointer keeping the Flyers field goal trend to 3-for-3.
- Kozlova made a second-chance three pointer.
- At 2:05, Perez got the Flyers to 31 points with a layup.
- Closing out the half, Jones made both of her free throws.
- The Flyers led the Billikens in total rebounds with 23.
3rd Quarter: Dayton 50, Saint Louis 53
- Freeman scored the Flyers' first points of the quarter with a strong drive layup.
- Perez went for a heavy contact layup and got an and-one, making her free throw.
- At the media timeout, UD was within five points.
- With a strong hustle down the floor, Jones made an and-one along with her free throw.
4th Quarter: Dayton 65, Saint Louis 74
- Kozlova tied the game with her three-point shot and brought the momentum back for UD.
- Keeping it going, Bohanon made her two free throws.
- Freeman gave the Flyers a lead of four points with her jumper off of a turnover.
- At 6:31, Jones scored her 20th point of the game.
- The Flyers were out-scoring the Billikens 11-8 with 5:22 left in the game.
- UD out-rebounded Saint Louis 49-33 when SLU called a timeout at 2:13.
- The Flyers made one of their last seven field goals creating a scoring drought of 2:01 with 34.4 left in the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Anyssa Jones had career highs of 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead Dayton.

Mariah Perez also had a double-double, her eighth of the year, with 19 points and 12 boards.

Destiny Bohanon had 11 points and team highs with seven assists and two steals.
53 to 38 – Dayton outrebounded SLU 53-38 in the contest.
22 to 11 – The Flyers committed twice as many turnovers as the Billikens.
34-0 – With a short roster, the Flyers were outscored 34-0 in bench points.
