BRONX, N.Y. - After falling to Loyola Chicago, 7-1, the University of Dayton softball team bounced back with a 6-0 win over Rhode Island Thursday evening to advance to the semifinals of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship. No. 3 Dayton will face off against top-seeded Saint Louis Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Fordham's Bahoshy Softball Complex.
Loyola (25-21) advanced to Friday's first game against George Mason. Rhode Island closed out 2023 with a 23-31-1 overall record. Dayton moves on to Friday's game with a 35-19 mark.
