DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team returns home to host George Washington Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at UD Arena.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton heads into the week with a 7-9 record overall and 1-4 Atlantic 10 mark. The Flyers are 4-3 at home this season.
Williams-Jeter is in her second season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
The Flyers are averaging 66.4 points per game and giving up 70.9 points to opposing teams. Dayton is shooting 41.1 percent overall, 30.4 percent from three point range, and 71.1 percent from the free throw line.
Leading the way for the Flyers is junior
Ivy Wolf with 12.4 points per game while redshirt senior
Destiny Bohanon is chipping in 11.2 points and junior
Arianna Smith is averaging a double-double with 10.1 points and 11.5 boards per game.
SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
George Washington comes to Dayton with an 8-8 record on the year and 1-3 A-10 record. The Revs are 2-3 in away games this season and coming off a win at St. Bonaventure.
Head coach Caroline McCombs is in her third season at George Washington.
As a team, the Revs are scoring 59.7 points each outing and holding opponents to 55.1 points per game. GW is shooting 38.6 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from behind the arc, and 68.0 percent from the charity stripe.
The Revs are led by Nya Robertson with 17.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while Nya Lok is contributing 10.9 points and 5.1 rebounds each contest. Essence Brown is the other double-digit scorer with 10.5 points per game.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flyers and Revs will play their 50th contest against each other with GW holding a 34-15 series advantage. Dayton fell in last year's meeting 57-71 in D.C., but the Flyers had won the four games prior to that.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton rallied from a 19-point deficit, but came up just short in a 74-70 loss at Saint Louis Friday.
Arianna Smith recorded her eighth double-double of the season in the effort.
George Washington earned a 78-62 win on the road at St. Bonaventure Sunday afternoon. The Revs rode a big second half and shot 41.9 percent from the field in the victory.
LEADING THE CONFERENCE
Junior
Arianna Smith currently leads the A-10 in total rebounds, offensive rebounds, and double doubles. She ranks fifth in the country in offensive boards and rebounds per game while being 10th in total rebounds.

The Flyers head back out on the road to take on Richmond Saturday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m.
DOUBLING-UP
Junior
Arianna Smith has already recorded eight double-doubles this season and is averaging that per game. She posted those against Lindenwood, SIUE, Wichita St., Davidson, Ohio Dominican, Massachusetts, Loyola Chicago, and Saint Louis.
RECORD-SETTING DAY
Smith grabbed 21 rebounds in the win over Ohio Dominican on Dec. 17, the fifth-most in a single game in program history. She did so with former Dayton rebounding legend JaVonna Layfield ('18) in attendance, who has three of the top five performances in school history.
