PHILADELPHIA – The University of Dayton women's basketball team went on the road to Saint Joseph's University Wednesday and fell 73-47.
The Flyers (10-15, 4-10 A-10) had an off-night defensively while the Hawks (23-2, 12-1 A-10) were red-hot.

GAME BREAKDOWN
1st Quarter: Dayton 8, Saint Joseph's 17
- The hosts struck first and jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the opening two minutes, but senior Anyssa Jones opened the scoring for the Flyers with a pair of layups to tie the game up with 7:27 on the clock.
- Graduate student Mariah Perez hit a jumper at the free throw line to give UD its first lead of the game.
- At the media break, the Flyers trailed 10-6 after a 6-0 run over 2:04 by the Hawks.
- Saint Joes responded out of the timeout with another run to extend its lead to 17-8 with under two minutes in the opening quarter.
- The Hawks got 16 of their 17 points in the paint and shot 53 percent in the first.
2nd Quarter: Dayton 28, Saint Joseph's 46
- Saint Joes pushed its lead to double-digits at 21-11 on the first play of the second quarter.
- Dayton was fighting to hang with the Hawks with threes from junior Ivy Wolf and freshman Riley Rismiller.
- Midway through the quarter, the score was 30-19 in favor of the Hawks.
- Saint Joseph's used another 7-0 run to end the half and led 46-28.
- The Hawks shot 64 percent compared to Dayton's 44 percent.
- Wolf was the first Flyer to double digits with 10 points and a pair of threes.
3rd Quarter: Dayton 40, Saint Joseph's 57
- UD got a pair of early buckets form Wolf and freshman Eve Fiala to close the gap for the Flyers in the first two minutes of the half.
- Saint Joes answered with a 5-0 run though to get the lead to 53-34 near the midway point of the third.
- The Dayton defense stepped up and held the Hawks scoreless for over three minutes, but the Flyers also were unable to score during that stretch with the clock ticking under a minute.
- Perez got her own rebound and scored in a packed paint before Wolf drew a charge on the other end to give UD the momentum going into the fourth.
4th Quarter: Dayton 47, Saint Joseph's 73
- The Hawks managed to get the margin to 20 at 62-42 with 7:04 to play in the game.
- By the media timeout, Saint Joes had complete control of the game with a 71-47 advantage and were amidst a 5-0 run over 1:57.
- The Flyers went up one of the top teams in the A-10 and just did not have enough firepower to make the comeback.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
57.9% - Saint Joseph's shot a season-high 57.9 percent while Dayton shot 32.1 percent from the field.

Ivy Wolf had team-highs of 19 points and seven rebounds to go with three assists and two steals in the effort.
21 to 3 – The Hawks recorded 21 assists on 33 made field goals compared to the Flyers' three assists on 17 field goals.
