NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The University of Dayton softball team dropped an 8-7 decision in extra innings at CSUN Thursday afternoon. The Flyers scored five runs in the seventh to stay alive but the Matadors were able to get one across in the bottom of the ninth.
Dayton moves to 4-2 on the season while CSUN is now 9-1 overall.

Dayton will head down to San Diego for a three-game series at UC San Diego Friday and Saturday. The Flyers and Tritons are scheduled for a 4 p.m. ET doubleheader on Friday and a single game on Saturday at Triton Softball Field in La Jolla.
