NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The University of Dayton softball team dropped an 8-7 decision in extra innings at CSUN Thursday afternoon. The Flyers scored five runs in the seventh to stay alive but the Matadors were able to get one across in the bottom of the ninth.

Dayton moves to 4-2 on the season while CSUN is now 9-1 overall.

HR - junior Chloe Wong knocked out her first home run of the season, a two-run shot that put the Flyers ahead in the seventh
13 - the Flyers tallied a total of 13 hits, including two apiece by four different players
2 - two Flyers knocked in two runs, including junior Emma Schutter
