DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team scored five unanswered runs, including junior Maddie Kapsimalis' walk-off home run, to clip Northern Kentucky, 5-4, Tuesday at UD Softball Stadium. The second baseman was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two home runs and three RBI.

Dayton improves to 21-17 on the season while Northern Kentucky is now 17-15 for the year.

HR - Kapsimalis sent two balls over the fence, including her second walk-off homer of the season, and she now has a team-best eight on the season
5 - junior right-handed pitcher Haven Dwyer recorded five strikeouts, just one off her career high, in 4.0 innings of work

UP NEXT
Dayton's doubleheader against St. Bonaventure, originally scheduled for tomorrow, has been moved to next Wednesday, April 24 due to forecasted severe weather. The Flyers will return to action Saturday as they play host to the Saint Joseph's Hawks.
