BRONX, N.Y. - Sophomore right-handed pitcher
Izzy Kemp tossed a two-hit, complete-game shutout Friday in top-seeded University of Dayton softball's 2-0 win over #3 Loyola Chicago. With the Flyers' A-10 Championship semifinals win over the Ramblers, UD advances to the program's third appearance in the conference tournament finals. The title game is scheduled for May 11 at 12 p.m. followed by an if-necessary game 30 minutes after.
The 2024 A-10 Championship is being played at Fordham's Bahoshy Field.
Dayton improved to 32-19 on the season while Loyola Chicago moved to 29-23 over. LUC will square off against the winner of today's second game between #2 Saint Louis and #5 Massachusetts to determine UD's championship opponent.
