ST. LOUIS - The University of Dayton softball team claimed the program's second Atlantic 10 regular season title with a 9-2 win at Saint Louis on Saturday. Game two of the conference doubleheader was suspended after five innings due to weather. The Flyers and Billikens were tied at 0-0. Play will resume Sunday at 12 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. CT followed by game three of the series.
Following the game-one win, Dayton improves to 29-18 on the season and 18-6 in conference games, clinching the regular-season title and a No. 1 seed at the upcoming Atlantic 10 Championship. Saint Louis moves to 28-19 overall and 15-9 in league action.
